Meet The Doulas

What Full Spectrum Means to Us

At Wrapped in Love, full-spectrum care means we support people across the entire reproductive arc—not just birth. This includes:

  • Fertility journeys and trying to conceive

  • Pregnancy support

  • Labor and birth (in hospital, at home, or in community settings)

  • Postpartum healing

  • Infant feeding and lactation

  • Pregnancy and infant loss

  • Abortion and decision-based care

  • Reproductive education for individuals and organizations

Our support adapts to the moment you're in. Whether it’s preparing a nourishing postpartum meal, guiding a partner through labor comfort measures, or consulting with a clinic to improve culturally responsive care—we’re here for it all.

Full-spectrum also means flexible and ethical. If at any point we’re not the best fit for your needs, we will support you in finding someone who is—through warm, trusted referrals within our broader birth and lactation community.

🌍 Equity & Cultural Humility Statement

At Wrapped in Love, equity is not just a principle—it’s a practice. We are committed to dismantling the systemic inequities that disproportionately affect Black, Indigenous, and people of color in reproductive health and beyond. Our care is rooted in cultural humility, which means we lead with listening, honor lived experience, and recognize that learning is lifelong.

We are actively unlearning harmful systems and centering the wisdom, strength, and needs of the communities we serve. Our approach is inclusive, trauma-informed, and responsive to the intersections of race, gender, ability, sexuality, and class. We welcome all families and strive to create spaces of safety, celebration, and belonging.

Our
Story

Wrapped in Love was born from the belief that healing happens in relationship. Founded by a Black doula and lactation counselor with lived experience and professional training, our roots are grounded in generations of caregiving, food wisdom, and birth justice. What started as one person showing up in homes with love, herbs, food, and support has blossomed into a growing village that holds families through all phases of birth and beyond.

Our Core Values:

  • Community Care – We believe care is a collective responsibility.

  • Joy as Resistance – We make space for laughter, softness, and celebration.

  • Cultural Reverence – We honor the knowledge, rituals, and practices passed down through our lineages.

  • Power & Purpose – Our work is intentional, informed, and centered on liberation.

  • Whole-Family Healing – We support the birthing person and the people who love them.

  • Nourishment – From food to education to affirmation, we nourish bodies, minds, and spirits.

Client-Led Care – We trust that every client knows what’s best for themselves. We support informed choice and connect families with trusted referrals when needed.
