I don’t have relatives in Michigan so the help and support I received from my doulas was really crucial. I don’t know that I would’ve made it through the fourth trimester without them and I’m certain I would’ve given up breastfeeding without their support. Angel and Dera helped me get my daughter to latch without pain, cooked, cleaned, folded laundry, and were there when I just needed another adult human to talk to. I can’t thank them enough.
